Common Dog Bed Sizes

There are several different types of dogs around the world and as a result there is no specific type of dog bed that can fit every single type of dog properly. As a result many companies that make dog beds have their products available in a variety of sizes.
These dog bed sizes are ones that will be important factors for dogs of different sizes.
There are three important factors dealing with these sizes. The length and width are going to be two of the most important factors in that they are used to help with allowing the dog to have more space to be able to sleep in as well as enough space for the dog to properly lie down in. The third factor deals with the height of the bed. This is important because smaller dogs may have a hard time getting in and out of a bed that is too tall.
The smallest types of dog beds are beds that are going to be suitable for dogs that are fifteen pounds in size or less. This type of bed should be one that is about twenty inches in length and twenty-five inches in width. It should also be about five inches in height so that a smaller dog will be able to get into the bed with ease.
A medium sized dog bed is going to be slightly larger. This is a type of bed for a dog that weighs between fifteen and forty pounds. This bed should be twenty-five inches long by thirty-two inches wide. It should also be about five to seven inches in height.
Beds for large dogs are beds that will be large enough to fit dogs that weigh between twenty-five and seventy-five pounds. This bed can be as long as a medium sized bed but it should be about forty inches wide. It should also be about eight inches in height but for the smaller dogs that fit this category it can be six inches in height.
The last of these types of dog beds is that of a bed for extra large dogs. This is for dogs that are seventy pounds or heavier in weight. One of these beds should be thirty inches long by fifty inches wide. This bed should be about nine or ten inches high so that any smaller dogs that share a living space with a larger dog does not try to get into the bed.
These are all dog bed sizes to consider. All sorts of types of dog beds will be made with different size levels. These are levels that will be important for specific types of dogs based on how large they are. All of these types of dog beds are ones that are easier for dogs of various sizes to be able to get into and to enjoy
